New Project at the Strawberry Point Library
The Library would like to start a Neighbor to Neighbor, Friend to Friend Group that would meet at various times in the library meeting room to work on Community Service Projects. This would be a fun group that would get together as a small or large group throughout the week. Some ideas for this have been to make pillow cases, blankets, mittens and to gather soap, shampoo, and hand lotion from hotels that you have gathered from your travels. These items would all be given to shelters, fire victims, Shepherd of the Hills, etc. There is a great need in the surrounding communities. This would be a great way to give back and to get out this Winter, visit with others, have coffee and, hopefully, a lot of conversations and fun! Items needed for these projects are:
1 yard of cotton material
5 yards of fleece material
thread, pins, scrap material for quilts, & yarn
If you are interested in donating items or helping with projects, please let us know at the library. Either call us at 563-933-4340 or stop in for a visit.
