Welcome to Strawberry Point's S.A.F.E. Page
S.A.F.E. stands for Substance Abuse Free Environment. Our goal is to make the Strawberry Point community a SAFE place for our youth by providing them with information and experiences so they make good decisions in their lives. We invite all ages and abilities to join us. At the bottom of this page are links to the minutes of past meetings to help you get a better understanding of our group.
Some of the programs we work
with are:
--- Annual Drunk Busters program for Starmont 8th graders
--- Annual $250 Alcohol/Tobacco Free Scholarships for Starmont Seniors who
continue their education
--- Annual Sponsorship of Alcohol Free Graduation Parties
--- Annual Strawberry Days Youth Dance & Pool Party
--- Parent-to-Parent Handbook
--- Texting/Driving Presentation
--- JEL van
--- Meth & More Program
Currently we are planning our March 31st presentation on texting. We will be doing the presentation during the day with Starmont 9th and 10th graders and at 6:00 we will have a presentation for parents.
To join our group, all you need to do is join us at a meeting. Everyone is welcome. We meet on an "as needed" basis. Our next meeting will be February 24th at the Franklin Hotel. We will start the meeting at 12:00 and finish by 1:00. You may order lunch off the menu or not, that is your choice.
