Dale Fox thinks the people and the quality of life make Strawberry Point a great place. Dale has been the mayor of Strawberry Point since January of 2008. He is a retired teacher and now operates Strawberry Computing. Growing up a Fairbank, Iowa, farm boy, he graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and has a Masters degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. For a break, Dale enjoys family & friends, photography and exploring technology.

Jacci Meyers has a BA in Leisure Youth & Human Services with an emphasis area in Nonprofit Management from the University of Northern Iowa. She enjoys raising her family in the small town environment. Strawberry Point is not only a town of enormous character and hospitality, it also is a town of great possibilities. She is excited to be a part of making Strawberry Point more appealing to young families and continue to make Strawberry Point a perfect place to work and live.
Jackie Opperman looks forward to making Strawberry Point the best it can be and wants to be part of the decision making process. She has an associate degree in accounting and computer programming. Jackie owns Quality Accounting and Tax Services. She is an IRS enrolled agent. Jackie enjoys being a volunteer at Emanuel Lutheran Church and various community organizations. "Strawberry Point can 'thrive' and not just survive." is the saying that guides her in her work in our city.
Council Person:
McKenzie Robinson grew up outside of Strawberry Point and after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Platteville moved back to Strawberry Point. In 2011, McKenzie and her fiancé purchased a home in Strawberry Point. McKenzie became interested in City Council while working for the Strawberry Point Development Fund, Inc. and with the Chamber of Commerce, she hopes to use her experience with the two groups to benefit the council. She currently works at Farmers Savings Bank. While not working McKenzie is involved with the Wilder Museum Board and Strarmont Futures & Core Curriculum Committees.

Mike Tucker has lived in Strawberry Point for 20 years and grew up just north of Dundee. This is his 2nd time serving on the council. Mike has helped to bring some much needed updates to the community, including new generators, signage, and downtown streetscape. "Strawberry is a wonderful community in which to live and raise our children. I believe by what I bring to the council, I can help make even better". Mike is a Project Manager for Gardner Architecture, serves on tree board, is involved with the Chamber of Commerce, and is an active member of Saint Mary Catholic Church

Newman - Moved to Strawberry Point from Colorado Springs where I worked
for the city of Colorado Spring utilities for 15 years before medical
retiring. I believe that we the council can make Strawberry Point a
better place to raise a family. I'm involved in coaching little league
baseball. I'm on the ambulance service as an EMT.
Deanna McCusker has been employed by the City of Strawberry Point since September 2006 and has been City Clerk/Administrator since November 2006. Deanna received her B.S. in Business, M.B.A. and M.P.A. from

Liz has worked as the Deputy City Clerk since
January 2007. She has an Associate's Degree in Accounting from NICC, a
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from
Carrie Weaver became
our new director on October 31, 2011. Carrie will be earning her
Multimedia Visual Communications degree sometime mid December, 2011. She
is originally from Missouri, and moved to this area four years ago. Her
husband is the Executive Chef at the Lady Luck Casino in Marquette,
Iowa. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys photography, building Web pages,
spending time with her husband/children. Carrie looks forward to
visiting and working with the community, and helping the community grow.
