Founded in 1853, our city was named by the soldiers, traders, and railroad workers who enjoyed the bountiful wild strawberries found along the area's trails and hillsides.

Known for the collection of approximately 800 heirloom dolls and doll furniture.
An extensive arrowhead collection, primitive tools, a 100 year-old polyphone, a gun used in the Revolutionary War, a muzzleloader from the civil war, a newspaper announcing the assassination of President Lincoln, and much more.
The Munter-Knight Wing has paintings of Myrwyn Eaton, a miniature farm of the 1930s, 140 toy tractors, and much more.
Open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day; weekends in May, September, and October. Special viewings and group tours by arrangement.
Backbone State Park -- (563) 924-2527
Dedicated in 1919, a 1,750 acre park. Many of the buildings were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)in the 1930s.

Historic, turn-of-the-century hotel. The hotel is located on the site where the stage coach would deliver travelers to and from Strawberry Point.
Inger Park has a band shell, with picnic area and swings. Soon to have a new slide.
Campbell Park is located beside our swimming pool. It has tennis courts, picnic areas, play ground equipment and shelter houses.

A 300 acre park with an Iowa Welcome Center located 8 miles North of Strawberry Point.
Wildlife and nature displays; a pioneer village and a pond.
Camping and picnic areas; archery range; hiking and cross-country ski trails including a 1.5 mile, 20 station exercise trail.
